About Adam Alarakhia
With over two decades of experience in education, training, and community support, I am passionate about empowering individuals and organizations to thrive. Through Heart & Mind, I offer three specialized services designed to support personal wellbeing, workplace culture, and employment rights.
A Holistic Approach
I believe that true wellbeing encompasses our emotional health, our work environment, and our sense of dignity and fairness. Through Heart & Mind, I combine these elements to offer comprehensive support tailored to your unique needs—whether you're seeking marriage counselling, workplace training solutions, or employment law guidance.
Clients We've Supported
Over the years, I have had the privilege of working with a diverse range of organizations and individuals, including Colleges, the Communication Workers Union, Royal Mail, Leicester Youth Association, Al Kawthar Academy, Al Aqsa School, Next Plc, and Radio Ramadhan (Cardiff). Whoever I work alongside, the same commitment to excellence, cultural sensitivity, and professional integrity is brought to every engagement—helping people and workplaces thrive through knowledge, support, and compassionate guidance.
My Experience
As a dedicated educator and trainer, I have spent years delivering courses in Employment Law, Equality and Diversity, Health and Safety, and workplace wellbeing across multiple institutions including Ruskin College and Shrewsbury Group of Colleges. My work with the Communication Workers Union since 2016 has deepened my understanding of employment rights and the challenges workers face in today's evolving workplace.
My commitment to mental health and wellbeing is reflected in my qualifications as a Mental Health First Aider and my role as Chaplain at Loughborough University, where I provide pastoral care and support to students navigating personal and academic challenges. I hold a Certificate in Chaplaincy and have extensive experience offering guidance to individuals and couples through difficult times.
With a BA Honours Degree in International Labour and Trade Union Studies, a Diploma in Employment Law, and a Level 3 Award in Education and Training, I bring both academic knowledge and practical expertise to every client interaction. My approach is grounded in empathy, respect, and a genuine desire to see people flourish—whether in their relationships, their workplace, or their understanding of their rights.
